Pledges and Patrons such as those now connected to crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter are certainly not a new idea.
Creative works were funded this way for centuries.
It was not only the large patrons that kept the works of Mozart, Beethoven, Whitman, Twain, and other artists funded, it was a crowd of smaller patrons as well.
It was the efforts of these artists to solicit smaller sums money from many patrons, often called subscribers, that allowed artistic projects, that are now classics, to come to reality so they exist for us today to enjoy.
Kickstarter is a “turbocharged” extension of this model due to the reach of the web.
But HOW does it work?
Well… say you have $10 to spare to help Mystic Bliss get to press.
You pledge that $10 and that makes you eligible for the reward at that level on the campaign once it is complete and successful.
The beauty of Kickstarter and Crowdfunding
is that your $10 pledge is only a portion of the whole…
When you add up the many$10 pledges coming in you end up with a powerful joining of efforts.
But that is only the beginning of the fun.
As the campaign goes on, more people get to know about this creative project through word of mouth and social media exposure and maybe THEY decide join in the desire to see this creative project take flight.
They come on board and potentially they have more then $10 to pledge or maybe they just desire one of the larger, more unique or exclusive rewards…
This is where the magic of Crowdfunding really starts!!!
The more people who talk about a creative idea that is generating funds to go forward by sharing links and posting comments on line on their social media… the more the reach of the campaign grows. And FAST too… because of the speed of the internet and the wide range of interests out there… some projects on Kickstarter often raise double and triple their original goals allowing they to do so much more than they thought they could do at a start up or early stages.
I selected Kickstarter for my platform to raise the funds needed to get to press faster than working exclusively through advance sales and sales of merchandise or doing card readings because it is a trusted resource gaining popularity worldwide.
My sponsors are safe when going through Kickstarter as it is an all or nothing campaign… if the minimum amount set for the campaign is not reached then the money is not collected from the patrons and nothing is exchanged… however when the campaign is successful the patrons get their promised thank you rewards for the completed transaction and no one has to risk anything.
My Kickstarter campaign aimed at raising the funds to get to press for an initial run will launch Monday September 15th at noon.
It will be remain open only until midnight on Saturday October 18th.
My goal is to be already 50% funded by the 1st week and simply allow the momentum of this to take this campaign to a hugely successful completion and get Mystic Bliss Empowerment Cards printed and on the market.
By visiting www.Kickstarter.com and searching my campaign by my name or Mystic Bliss Empowerment Cards after Noon on Monday, you will be able to click on your desired pledge level and show your support.
Feel free to take the time to check out the wonderful other projects while there as well.
Thank you in advance for your support and encouragement.
Who knows… maybe you are supporting a new classic through your generosity.
